    Now there have been a lot of misconceptions about etienne's strength and I would like to clear that up. (be ready for a wall of text)

    Etienne is pretty underwhelming in all aspects. For one, he has terrible dps without abilities until level 20, and his only good ability is ucav unless it's very very early in the game. Another is the fact the perma ucav is only level 10 ucav strength until the ability is activated, which just makes it the level 17 ucav but for a shorter duration than the level 17 ability.

    One of etienne's biggest flaws is being a solo dps based hero that gives menial or no buffs to other towers, and heroes are supposed to support defenses in a way. Quincy has no buffs but provides excellent early, mid, and late game damage that can work well with all strategies. Gwen, obyn, pat, brickell, and Jones all have excellently powerful buffs to give to other towers. Adora and Churchill aren't very good, being dps heroes as well, but they can hold their own with their powerful abilities and late game damage at high levels with sacrifices or money spent into Churchill (obviously a bad idea). Even ezili, an often overlooked hero, is very good at supporting some strategies that tend to struggle with a big save up, and hex can stop 75, 77, 82, and other hard midgame rounds in their tracks and help a ton late game with her highly superior Moab damage. Ben of course generates much needed cash.

    Etienne does give full map camo, and it is his best trait, but it's not as good as it sounds. For one, whenever you use etienne, you will inevitably get a mib (030 village) for the fact that etienne cannot pop ddts. Also, etienne takes a hero slot, which can be better used on towers that will help more in other aspects of the game rather than etienne just helping a bit in late. And of course, decamo options are always available.

    TLDR; etienne is pretty bad. You are better off going for another one of the top tier heroes.
