Posted: 04 Jan 2020 01:44 AM PST IntroductionThe BTD6 Index is a community-maintained spreadsheet that was created for the purpose of compiling resources, documenting challenges, and archiving additional information for BTD6. The goal is to have a vast array of game knowledge all condensed into one area for easy reference and viewing. This post breaks down what each section strives to accomplish as well as addition resources and information that might help you at the game. If you would like to help contribute to the sheet, want to discuss challenges, or have any questions on a certain topic on the sheet, feel free to join our newly formed Discord server. InformationWe currently maintain 16 distinct pages. Everything currently tracked is shown below. We are constantly updating/adding new information to further improve the quality of the sheet. Two Tower CHIMPSTwo Tower CHIMPS (2TC) is the earliest and longest-standing challenge in BTD6 with its first completion in version 2.1 and still going strong with 2 new completions in 14.0. These combos, numbering just over 30 in total, encompass some of the most difficult and noteworthy challenges to date. Special shout-out to u/Smurfblade and his spectacular series of the 2TCs which you can find here. Rules:
Alternate Map Completions:

Three Tower CHIMPS ABRThree Tower CHIMPS ABR (3TC ABR) was a challenge created and pioneered in 10.0 by u/ImTheLine, offering a fresher and seemingly more challenging alternative to 2TC. With the efforts of challenge juggernauts like u/rmlrmlchess, u/Smurfblade, and u/Agent--51 however, completions quickly ballooned before plateauing at 170, where it sits today. Personally, through my own meager forays into this challenge, I found it really quite helpful for practicing the different experience ABR brings as well as exploring the enigmatic world of ABR rounds 81-100. Rules:
Additional Resources:
Three Tower CHIMPS RBSThree Tower CHIMPS RBS (3TC RBS) is made up of two variants, <28RBS and Monkey Meadows. These separate but similar categories can be compared to 3TC ABR with increased map difficulty as opposed to round difficulty. After a new calculation of the RBS (which refers to the time for a single red bloon to traverse a map on Hard difficulty) of Monkey Meadows, the old category of 3TC <30RBS was quickly overwhelmed by completions on this relatively easy map compared to End of the Road. As a result, the category was split such that Monkey Meadows could be further explored while preserving the old category's spirit. Rules:
Least Tower CHIMPSLeast Tower CHIMPS (LTC) pushes each map to its limit and is unique due to its sheer variety at the difficult end of maps. As of now, all maps with the exception of the "true Experts" (#ouch, Muddy/Bloody Puddles, and Quad) have been reduced to 6 or fewer towers, but I'm sure there's still room for improvements. This category is particularly sensitive to nerfs and thus adopts the following policy: combos that are no longer possible stand until a new, possible combo either ties or reduces the number of towers. Rules:
2 Mega Pops CHIMPS2 Mega Pops CHIMPS (2MPC) was born in the mind of u/frds314, who noticed early on that the total number of pops in a game of CHIMPS was slightly over 2 million. He later formally completed the challenge with Tack Zone, but interestingly 3 2TCs also fit the criteria (namely, Grandmaster/Prime + Permabrew and Flagship + Homeland). As of now two towers under third tier have been completed, resulting in the rule that all towers below third tier are considered the "base" tower and are thus identical for the purpose of this challenge. As the range of difficulty is so extreme (compare reaching 2 million pops with Tack Zone versus Pat), alternate maps are a core aspect and thus accommodated much more than other challenges (see below). Rules:
Additional Resources: Miscellaneous Challenges (WIP)This page is for assorted challenges worth tracking, but not significant enough to dedicate entire pages for. It currently only tracks 2TCs with co-op starting cash, but will include challenges such as cheapest deflation, CHIMPS, and highest CHIMPS round in the future. HeroesDynamically generates a table giving information regarding how a hero levels up in CHIMPS mode, given certain parameters. Also provides information on hero balance change history. Additional Resources: TowersTracks balance changes of each tower since release, in addition to CHIMPS costs for relevant tower upgrades/crosspathings and some extra information. MapsLists the RBS (Red Bloon Seconds) of each map, defined as the time a red bloon on round 1 takes to completely traverse the map on hard mode. Also lists acronyms that are used by other pages and externally. DictionaryLists and explains common acronyms used by the community. CHIMPS Tier ListHosts the semi-official CHIMPS tier list by path for the current version. Additional Resources:
FarmingLists the calculations for the efficiencies of various farm upgrades across all difficulties. Late Game (WIP)Will provide information related to optimal late game setups, including hero rankings, a guide to building the VTSG, and optimal lag counteraction. RacesDocuments information from race events, such as race details, top five participants, and total number of participants. Note that there exists many uncertainties due to the lack of prior documentation. Additional Resources: Expert CHIMPS (WIP)Will document the history of completions of the Expert maps on CHIMPS, excluding Dark Castle. Entries are distinguished by factors such as hero, early/mid/late game strategy, and black border viability. Bug Tracker (WIP)Documents bugs in recent versions of the game. See the 2TC page for an in-depth explanation of categorical distinctions between bugs. Additional Resources
Thanks! This was all made possible by you, the community, and your constant support of our work! If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, feel free to shoot one of the maintainers of the sheet a message. We're always looking for things to add and ways to improve. Of course none of this would have been possible without the incredible support and engagement of Ninja Kiwi's and u/rohan_spibo in particular with community challenges (such as adding achievements for 2TC, 2MPC, Jajajosh, and always supporting the never ending quest to conquer every Expert map). Posted: 04 Jan 2020 04:20 AM PST It would be useful, instead of typing out codes you could just straight invite them. You could also see the last time your friend was online, and maybe add randoms after a good match... which doesn't happen often, but when it does, it's gorgeous. Oh and chat between friends. Talking wthout using external communicator would be nice. Seeing their status (online, offline, "In Match: map" or "In Co-Op Match: map) would be useful too. i feel like what i've just typed out is one huge stroke but idk [link] [comments] | ||
