    20.1 Farming Strategy (DEPOSITS OP)

    20.1 Farming Strategy (DEPOSITS OP)

So, I've been using the Bank Deposits monkey knowledge and Benjamin for a while now, and I'm surprised how little they seem to be mentioned here? I know its irrelevant for CHIMPS... but it's OP. I didn't realise how OP until I started calculating... but it's really OP. So, to start of, we have just a simple comparison of the non-bank based farms, (Not including merchantmen... those will come later!). This displays their total price in hard difficulty, the money they generate per round, and the amount of rounds it takes to pay them off.

    https://preview.redd.it/h4i0a6bnr2p51.png?width=1077&format=png&auto=webp&s=843a09e633f6e4c397ae4bceeb7243120092edb9

Perhaps surprisingly, the farm that takes the least amount of rounds to pay itself off, and thus at surface comes across as the best option, is the 4-2-0 Res Facility, paying for itself in only 14.66 rounds. However, 27.5k is a significant cost. The 2-0-3 Marketplace comes in second at 15.39 rounds, however as it is a much easier investment to make, you can build them much more quickly. Being able to get this money out earlier, I believe, makes them the 2-0-3 Marketplace the best option, without banks.

For the next part, all banks had the Bigger Banks monkey knowledge, and the results both with and without Benjamin and the Bank Deposits monkey knowledge are shown. In the cases where there are deposits, it is assumed that only 1 initial deposit is made of 4750 for banks and 6250 for IMF's. Normally it is more efficient to empty the banks just before they fill completely, however in the last two cases of IMF + Deposits and IMF + Deposits + Benjamin, it is actually better to let it fill up completely, as the interest rates are so massive.

It is assumed that all deposits and withdrawals are made between rounds. Banks work by having a flat rate (for 2-0-3 and 2-0-4) of 310 added throughout the round, and then the whole account is increased by 15% or 27% with a level 9 Benjamin at the end of each round. Finally, for IMF's, their abilities have not been considered. I have also not taken the deposits into the price for the banks, but they have also been removed from the "Money Made" at the end of each cycle. Benjamin's cost has not been considered as he pays for himself.

As can be seen from this second table, almost all of the bank setups, with just Bigger Banks, outperform the 4-2-0 BRE. This is offset of course by the fact that you get the money at the end of each cycle, rather than constantly... allowing you to expand with less compounding. Even the basic bank with Benjamin, when operated correctly, pays for itself in half the time of the 4-2-0 BRE. And that was meant to be the fastest. By far, the most poweful setup however is the 2-3-0 Bank + Bank Deposits + Benjamin. It only costs 7295 (Although a deposit of 4500 is required), and it makes 1826 a round. That's very nearly as much as a 4-2-0 Res Facility. It pays for itself in 4.00 rounds. That is 4 times better than most of the regular farms. And its not even offset by the biggest problem of banks, how infrequently you get the money. Because each cycle is only 2 rounds long. Personally, I think this needs a heavy nerf, but for now, the information is out there. Do with it as you will.

I certainly think some discussion is in order.

    Until Next Time.
